How to Make a Classic Paper Airplane
Learn how to fold a classic dart paper airplane that flies straight and fast with these simple step-by-step instructions.
- Make the center crease. Place your paper flat on the table in a vertical position. Fold the paper in half lengthwise by bringing the long sides together, crease it well, then unfold it so you have a line down the middle.
- Fold the top corners. Take the top two corners and fold them down toward the center crease. You should now have a triangle shape at the top of your paper.
- Create the nose. Take the new slanted edges you just created and fold them toward the center crease again. This will make the top of your plane look like a very thin, sharp triangle.
- Fold the body. Fold the entire plane in half along the original center crease so that all your folds are tucked inside. The paper should look like a long, thin triangle.
- Form the wings. Fold each side down to meet the bottom edge of the body. Press firmly along the folds to make sure the wings stay in place.
