How to Fold a Classic Dart Paper Airplane
Learn how to fold a fast, aerodynamic paper airplane using just a single sheet of paper and some patience. HowTo: Family Edition: family how-tos that actually help.
- Make the center crease. Lay your paper flat on the table in a vertical position. Fold the paper in half by bringing the long sides together, crease it well with your fingernail, then unfold it so you have a line down the middle.
- Fold the top corners. Take the top two corners and fold them toward the center crease. You should now have a triangle shape at the top of your paper.
- Create the nose. Take the new diagonal edges you just created and fold them toward the center line again. This makes the nose of your plane look sharp and narrow.
- Fold the body. Fold the entire plane in half along your original center crease so that all the folded parts are hidden inside.
- Form the wings. Fold each side down to meet the bottom edge of the plane's body. Press down firmly on the creases to ensure your wings stay flat.
