How to Measure Ingredients Like a Pro

- Measure dry ingredients using the scoop-and-level method. Gently scoop your dry ingredient into the measuring cup until it is overflowing. Do not pack it down. Use the flat edge of a knife or a spatula to sweep across the top of the cup, pushing the extra ingredient back into the bag or container so the top is perfectly flat.
- Measure liquid ingredients at eye level. Place your liquid measuring cup on a flat, steady surface like a counter. Pour your liquid slowly until it reaches the correct line. Bend down so your eyes are level with the measurement line to make sure the liquid touches the mark exactly.
