How to Organize a Living Room Scavenger Hunt
Turn your living room into an exciting adventure zone with a custom scavenger hunt you create yourself. HowTo: Family Edition: family how-tos that actually help.
- Plan your path. Pick 5 to 10 spots in the living room where you want to hide clues. Make sure they are easy to reach and safe to access. Write down the locations so you don't forget where you put everything.
- Write your clues. For each spot, write a riddle on a piece of paper. For example, if the next clue is under the sofa, write: 'I have legs but cannot walk, look under me to find your next talk.' Keep them simple enough for your players to solve.
- Set the trail. Place your clues in order. The first clue goes to the player, and that clue leads them to the second, and so on. Hide the final 'treasure' at the last location.
- Start the hunt. Hand the first clue to your players and watch them solve the riddles! Stay nearby to offer hints if they get stuck.
