- Prepare your fruit. Wash all your fruit thoroughly. Use your plastic knife to cut larger pieces like melons or bananas into bite-sized cubes or rounds. Place all your prepared fruit pieces in separate piles on your tray so they are easy to reach.
- Plan your pattern. Before you start, lay out your fruit pieces in the order you want them to go on the skewer. You might want to try a color pattern, like red, green, blue, and yellow, or just mix them up randomly.
- Assemble the skewers. Pick up a skewer. Carefully thread one piece of fruit at a time onto the stick, pushing it gently until it is about an inch from the bottom. Continue adding fruit until you have about two inches of space left at the top.
- Finish and serve. Once your skewer is full, place it on your serving plate. Repeat the process until you have used all your fruit. Wash your hands and enjoy your colorful snack!
